Two new examples of our work in and around Manchester are showcased below.
Well, technically, not Manchester, as they’re in Salford and Trafford and we know some people get all touchy if Manchester expands its name outwards.
The first was fire door and fire compartmentation surveys at Cumberland Point in Clifton
Clifton, near Swinton (Salford), not Bristol. Swinton has been recently named as a property hotspot by various media outlets. It is the administrative headquarters for Salford, perhaps confusingly, and with easy proximity to Manchester, via rail or road, it is easy to see why.
Cumberland Point is not a typical modern build either – it is modest in proportions compared with the high density towers you spot driving back to Salford or Manchester, having been built fairly recently with just 3 levels. The development sits off Billy Lane, and a rising road takes you to the compound gates, labelled with its name in broad letters.
It is a mix of privately owned and tenanted apartments, set over 3 blocks, surrounded by mature trees and backing on to Queensmere Dam, off Bolton Road. The arterial M60 is close by, as is the wonderful Clifton Country Park with its industrial relics of mining features, with Manchester under 6 miles away.

Fire door and compartmentation surveys at Park Rise, Old Trafford
To the south west of Manchester, in Old Trafford, is the more modern and imposing Park Rise. This impressive apartment block shines loftily with its glass facade on Seymour Grove, with it being about 2.5 miles from Manchester’s booming centre. Trafford Bar Metrolink is close by, with the original station entrance, as is Lancashire County Cricket Ground and the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford.
The walk into Manchester is quite alluring too, passing through, should you choose this route, the varied landscape of Salford Quays, spliced by the Manchester Ship Canal.
Park Rise, like Cumberland Point, is a mixture of tenanted and privately owned apartments, dating back to 2018.
